Lake Country’s most popular foam is the orange light cutting foam, with good reason. The orange pads are made of a dense, closed-cell foam that is similar to memory foam. The foam keeps polishes on its surface of the pad, rather than soaking in.

The unique orange foam composition is most effective on a wide range of moderate imperfections, including swirls, scratches, and oxidation. Yet the foam has tiny pores. Smaller pores make the foam dense but they also make the surface of the pad smoother and only moderate abrasive. This semi-abrasive texture allows the orange pads to level imperfections with minimal surface haze.

6 Low Profile Orange 4 inch Light Cutting Pads
The orange pad is an excellent, multi-purpose pad. It can be used with your polisher to remove light scratches on paint, or with plastic and chrome polishes. It is less abrasive than the yellow pad and is used ideally for polishing isolated scratches using your polisher or electric drill. Use a 2 ¾ inch Rotary Backing Plate on a circular polisher. Add the drill adapter for a drill. Use the 3.5 inch Dual Action Backing Plate on a D.A. polisher.

6 Low Profile Orange 5.5 inch Light Cutting Pads
The orange pads are made of the same dense, closed cell foam as Lake Country’s larger light cutting foam pads. Use the orange pads to apply swirl removers and light compounds. The small size allows you to concentrate the polisher on a smaller area with less foam to buffer the dual action polisher’s jiggling motion, which helps break down polishes. Use a 5 inch backing plate with the 5.5 inch pad.
