Product description
Use BLACKFIRE and create "whiplash" with the perfect pair!
When BLACKFIRE Duo Kit is used your vehicle will have a rich shine that shimmers with energy. BLACKFIRE Compound and Polish remove swirls and oxidation while improving the paint's gloss and depth. Once wax is applied over this corrected finish, it shimmers! Use the BLACKFIRE Duo with a random orbital or rotary/circular polisher.
BLACKFIRE formulas are the result of over twenty years of research with state-of-the-art polymers from Germany, Sweden and the US. All BLACKFIRE products are surface-friendly and VOC compliant in all 50 states. These water-based formulas clean, condition, polish and protect without the strong solvents found in most car care products.
The BLACKFIRE Duo includes:
BLACKFIRE Compound
BLACKFIRE Compound was designed to remove deeper (1200 - 2000 grit) swirls, scratches and defects in ceramic particle and scratch-resistant clear coats. Compound is designed for machine application with either a dual-action or circular machine polisher. Most 2000 grit and deeper swirls, scratches, spots and defects in ceramic particle and scratch-resistant clear coats cannot be removed by hand.
For best results, apply BLACKFIRE Compound using a CCS Orange Light Cutting Pad. These pads are used at the OEM level on ceramic particle and scratch-resistant clear coats.
BLACKFIRE SRC Clear Compound can be use on all newer technology, scratch-resistant clear coats. If your vehicle does have a scratch resistant or nano, ceramic particle clear coat, always use BLACKFIRE SRC Finishing Polish first to try and remove the defect. SRC Compound should only be used to remove deeper scratches and paint defects that SRC Finishing Polish could not remove.
After compounding, the surface may have a dull, hazy finish. This is called compounding haze and is a normal byproduct of compounding. After compounding, make sure to use BLACKFIRE SRC Finishing Polish with a clean, polishing pad to remove compounding haze and restore surface gloss.
BLACKFIRE SRC Finishing Polish
In 2005, Mercedes Benz started using a nano, ceramic particle, clear coat and in 2006 domestic automakers started using a super-hard, scratch-resistant clear coat developed by both PPG and BASF. These new clear coats are scratch-resistant, not scratch proof. They can still be scratched and spotted. The problem is polishing, or removing defects, in these new, super-hard clear coats. Conventional polishes may not have the cutting power to remove swirls, spots and defects in these new coatings.
SRC Polish will remove any existing wax or sealant and burnish the finish to a mirror-like shine. Applied by machine, it will remove 2500 grit swirls, spots and scratches without hazing the finish. We now whole heartedly recommend BLACKFIRE Polish for use on all clear coat finishes.
To stay on top of paint innovations, BLACKFIRE incorporated cutting edge German abrasives to develop a compound and polish to remove defects in the new clear coats. This new breed of polishes is currently used at the OEM level in various auto manufacturing plants worldwide and they are considered within the polishing industry to be the most advanced polishes in the world.
Using BLACKFIRE Compound and BLACKFIRE Polish, Mike Phillips was able to completely remove the swirls and paint imperfections and polish to perfection the paint on this 1994 Z28 Camaro. |
